Our initial plan was to head over to Johor on Saturday(30/4) but the news and social media kept mentioning the heavy traffic situation that always happens during long weekends. So we decided to book a budget hotel; The Grand Jade Hotel, for Friday night to avoid the traffic on Saturday morning. We booked the hotel at around 2.30pm and then we rushed out at about 4.15pm. Of course we booked through the Agoda app, here's the link for you; STAYCAY!!
We took the public bus and the traffic was crazy too. We kinda regretted our decision while we were queueing for the bus. After lots of angry faces, rude remarks and gallons of perspiration, we reached our destination. Well technically, we reached City Square first. We packed food for the night and took a taxi to our hotel which was around 5 minutes away.
The hotel was small and quite easy to spot. I was quite surprised at the cleanliness of the place despite it being a budget hotel. The room size was quite acceptable too. Adam had space to roam around. By the time reached our room, it was around 6.30pm. We settled and rested for the night.
I didn't get to snap a picture of the exterior so I took this from the net.
Adam usually cries in the middle of his sleep when he is not in his own bed. The walls were quite thin and we didn't want to disturb the neighbours so we had to calm him down by showing him Charlie and the numbers for about 10 minutes.
Adam having breakfast before heading out to see the rest of the family on Saturday morning!
Till the next post,
Ja
