STAYCATION SINGAPORE: PARK AVENUE HOTELS & SUITES REVIEW

It's the Christmas weekend which means it's a long weekend for us. We decided to go for a staycation! Or as we call it; staycay. Park Avenue Hotels & Suites was our choice this time. You can find alot of staycation deals and promotions online.

We booked a one bedroom suite for one night. It is a small building with only ten floors. It is listed as a business hotel. As we walked up to the hotel, there was a huge christmas tree infront of the building. Very pretty. Right outside the main entrance of the hotel, there were sofas and lounges. I guess that is considered its lobby as the main concierge area is kinda small.

The concierge area was quite crowded as it was Christmas eve however the check-in was fast. We got our check-in card in less than 5 minutes. A staff offered to help with our luggage but we declined as we only brought a tiny luggage. Tiny enough for Adam to drag around. But guess who had to drag it around? #momlife

Our room was on the fifth floor thus our view was unblocked. See, That's Capri by Fraser right there. What we love about this area is that it is just beside Changi City Point. It was kinda gloomy on that day. Sweater weather, almost.

As Changi City Point is just a stone throw away, we can rock the streets in our pajamas.

There is a newly opened Burger King downstairs. So convenient. We had our dinner there obviously.

Entrance of the hotel

What's a staycay without swimming? So we checked out the rooftop pool on the tenth floor. It was a narrow pool. It wasn't much but the view was awesome. The gym was right there by the pool too.

Presenting an insect bite on the face.

We checked out the next day. Back to reality. The check-out was a breeze. All in all it was a great stay. Will definitely come back!

PROS

-Near Changi City Point
-Near Expo MRT
-Burger King just downstairs
-Room size is reasonable
-Price is affordable
-Check-in/check-out was fast

CONS

-Bathroom was tiny and some tiles were discoloured
-Operator was kinda difficult to get through sometimes
-No complimentary parking (we were charged $6.50 for the night)
-The staff at the main concierge were not very 'smiley' although their service was speedy (maybe this is just me because that's what I expect when I step in to a hotel)

Till the next staycay,
Ja
