DOUBLE TREE BY HILTON JB

Assalamu'alaikum.

Alhamdulillah!! We're back at home! It was a bittersweet experience for me and more so for Adam. He had fever a few days before we headed out but his fever subsided over the weekend but his cough persisted. Over the weekend, he vomited while we were having lunch and he had his first nosebleed when we were having dinner. Oh dear. I didn't really panic because I had a fair share of nosebleed myself when I was younger. It was different for Wan though. He never ever experience nosebleed before! Although, I was a tad bit worried but I blamed his recovering body and the weather for the nosebleed. That made me feel better.

Anyhoos!!! Doubletree by Hilton JB was awesome!! As usual, we booked through Agoda, click this link and it will bring you over.

It was our first time there and I'm sure it won't be our last. Checking in process was a breeze, not to mention we received free warm chocolate chip cookies. Warm! They were warm!

We took the 2 bedroom suite on the 27th floor. It had a living room with sofa, TV and a dining area. It had 2 bedrooms; 1 with king sized bed, the other with 2 super single beds. I don't know why I didn't take photos. Seriously. I took short videos of the suite though. Will link it once its ready. The bathrooms were big and luxurious. Oh, the windows were huge! Loved it!

After we checked in and rested, we headed out to find some food. We found a small eatery near Jakel. It's called Hijo. We didn't expect much but much to our delight, the food was good. However, Adam decided to vomit while we were eating and fortunately I brought a plastic. Talk about motherly instincts. Phew.

After that, we went to City Square Mall and walked around until our legs asked for forgiveness. We then packed some food, and by some I mean more than our stomachs can handle, and headed back to our hotel.

On the second day, we headed down for breakfast. Since ours was a suite, 4 of us were entitled for complimentary breakfast. The breakfast spread was good. Better than most hotels I've been to. It mostly had local delicacies like Chinese, Malay and Indian food.

We then showed Adam the pool but since he was unwell, we decided not to let him swim. BOOOOO.

We then headed out to Jakel to settle some Hari Raya stuff. Luckily Adam was asleep. Oh, I had to use Mama's handbag to replace Adam's pillow which I forgot to bring because I'm responsible like that.

After Jakel, we headed over to Aeon Bukit Indah. We had late lunch and walked around to find stuff for baby bro's prom. OMG. How is he 16 this year?!!

After our legs felt like jelly and our hips threatened to destroy us (or more so for me), we headed over to Grand Seafood Restaurant for dinner. We have been to the restaurant once and we liked the food. It was early dinner for us because somebody booked the hotel bar to watch soccer at 8.30pm. *rolls eyes*

On Sunday, which was our last day, we decided to take our time and head over to Angsana and City Square for last minute shopping after checking out.

It was a relaxing getaway for us. I loved the fact that we did all things familiar and we got to spend time as a family. Yeay! To more boring, nothing-to-do, relaxing kinda getaways!!

Sitting here helping Adam pick out raisins from his bread,
Ja
