Korea Day 2; Jeju Island, Kimyoung Maze, Seongsan Ilchulbong, Famous Waterfall and Trick Art Museum!

Assalamu'alaikum.

So for day 2 in Jeju, it was craycray! We woke up early to have breakfast in the lobby. It was a small spread but it was homely and nice. We ate salad, eggs, toasts and fruits. Oh ya, not to forget the awesome mushroom soup. Mr Kang came to fetch us at 9am. We headed out to our first destination; Kimyoung Maze. It took around 1hour from our hotel. I really enjoyed the car ride. Jeju does not have many high rise buildings and somehow I find that relaxing.

After spending around an hour figuring our way around the two mazes, Mr Kang magically appeared to drive us to our next destination; Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak). But us being typical Singaporeans, we asked Mr Kang to stop along the way just because we spotted pretty areas for us to snap away. So beware of the emo shots, boyband shots and many other undesirable shots.

After many shots, Mr Kang stopped us from camwhoring and drove us to our destination. We were truly mesmerized the moment we reached the sunrise peak. It was magnificent. However, we didn't climb all the way to the top because we were breathless halfway. The weather was cold and the air felt heavier. The steep slope up didn't help either. So we gave up halfway and camwhored again. We seriously couldn't get enough of the view so we came up with many different poses and of course, one had to be the Megazord.

By the time we reached the starting point, it was near 1pm. So, we decided to break for lunch. Mr Kang brought us to an authentic woman diver hut which serves seafood. Their specialty is their abalone porridge. When we ordered the porridge, she immediately pry off some abalone from the tank nearby and brought them to the kitchen. Talk about fresh food.

After lunch, we went on to our next destination which was a folk village. It was a nice and serene place. There was a tour guide who brought us around. He was kinda hilarious eventhough he spoke minimal english. We bought cactus jam from him. It cost us around SGD40 but it is natural and delicious!

Next, we headed to the Trick Art Museum.. It was only 15 minutes drive from the folk village. The Trick Art Museum was fun! It is a great place to spend time with your loved ones if you are into illusions and paintings. It took us about and hour to complete the tour of the whole museum.

Note: Some pictures we took were epic failures. We just couldn't get the angles right.  =)

After the waterfall, we went to a vegetarian restaurant nearby our hotel and had dinner. I had curry!

We then dragged our feet back to our hotel. Tired like fish.
