DAY 7
We ate at home for iftar. I cooked brown rice and soup for the boys. Just a simple meal but it satisfying. Alhamdulillah.
I also tried making bread pudding but failed. As it tasted fine but it was a little dry. I think it lacked milk and also I used condensed milk instead of cream. Well, will try again next time!
DAY 8
I sent Adam to school in the morning and went straight to dental polyclinic as I have been having severe pain on my bottom left teeth for about a week or so. As suspected, I had to do root canaling and crowning. They sent me straight to National Dental Centre.
Fortunately Baba was free and we fetch Adam and headed straight to NDC. It was my first time there and it was pleasant. The receptionist and the all the officers at the registration counters had great big smiles. They spoke in a nice and sincere manner. Good job NDC staff level 6. I had previously done two root canals and crowning treatment so I knew how long and expensive it will be.
We had to wait for the dentist to come back from lunch and I had my turn. The dentist took about 2 hours as he drilled through my tooth and scraped out all the decayed nerves. He told me that was just the first step and I had to come back for the actual root canaling and crowning.
Argh. I hate the dental clinic. It gives me the creeps. Everyone who knows me well enough knows that my fingernails will turn all blue while waiting for my turn in the dental clinic. Such a wuss.
I made it home just in time for iftar. I bought food on the way home. Thank God for baba who accompanied me and had to babysit Adam at the hospital. Anything for his precious grandson.
Iftar was great but I couldn't eat much because of the numbness and the swelling. Glad my boys ate on my behalf. I was so tired, my body was screaming for help. I guess Wan heard it as he massaged my head to sleep. Bless him.
Hope you had a blessed day,
Ja
