Here are three cafes that we visited while in Kuala Lumpur recently that are worth mentioning.
MELUR AND THYME
G03H-I, Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC),
50088 Kuala lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
That was my second time eating at Melur & Thyme and once again, the food didn't disappoint us. It's a given that the price is a bit steep because of the location but it is really worth your money.
I clearly remember what i had the previous time we visited. Carbonara with Smoked Duck. It was so good. No points for guessing what I got this time. The exact same dish. Lol. We ordered The Ikan Siakap Tiga Rasa this time round. We also ordered rice to go with t. You know some fro some cafes, when their western food is so nice, you don't really expect much from their malay or other fusion dishes. But hey, mind blown. It was so good and spicy too.
This cafe is seriously a must visit cafe in KLCC.
RIMBA DAN RUSA
D-GF-01 Ground Floor, 2, Jalan PJU 5/14, Sunway Nexis, 47810, Kota Damansara
Ok. honestly. The only reason we went to this cafe was that we saw numerous celebrities frequented this cafe. So naturally we were curious. And boy the food was gooood. You know sometimes at hyped cafes, some dishes are good and some are so-so. At Rimba dan Rusa, almost everything we ordered were good.
However, like all hipster cafes, the seats were kinda uncomfortable and the space was cramped. But hey, the good food and cute interior made up for it.
DELICIOUS CAFE
Lot G316, Ground Floor. One Utama Shopping Centre(New Wing),
1 Lebuh Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya
Ok, when we went to this cafe, it was empty. So we didn't expect much. But we were pleasantly surprised. The place was cute. The service was good. The menu was eye catching. The food was interesting. What more could you ask for?
Check out the drinks section. So interesting. Lol. I loved it.
The paper place mats double as activity sheets. How awesome is that?! It kept us occupied.
At least for Adam and myself.
My masterpiece while waiting for food.
Ok guys. The salsa is to die for. It was tangy and spicy. So good.
And not many restaurants or cafes provide kiddy plates and utensils without us asking for them.
This cafe did. The service was good. Thumbs up.
BOAT NOODLES
02-49-10 & 02-49-11. 2nd Floor, Berjaya Times Square 1,
Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Perseketuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
It was our second time there. You will see people eating dangerously scary amount of bowls there. I personally don't really like the noodles. Especially the egg noodles. It just doesn't suit my tastebuts. However, that's not the case with my family. They love the noodles.
I prefer the Thai Popeye Tempura( the sauce was damn good), Basil Leaves Rice with Minced Chicken and of course the Kaya Steamed Bread. Would definitely try the one in Johor Bahru soon.
Ok that's all for now. Will blog again soon!
Coughing away while Adam is tugging my hair (send help please),
